2006中華精典文化夏令營報名

美國青少年文化教育交流中心(YCEEC) 連續十一年舉辦美中兩地夏令營，並以在美國從事中文教育十四年的師資爲依託，在“中文熱”和“孔子熱”全球風行之時，2006年暑假我們更推出兩個灣區首創、緊跟時代潮流的夏令營活動。爲把夏令營辦好辦精，讓孩子與家長們有實實在在的收穫，今年的夏令營只限額招收50人，集體報名更有優惠，敬請把握機會，儘早報名！

一、2006“中華文化—孔子故鄉行夏令營”(25天，可全程參加，也可只參加學中文或旅遊)

届时將在北京參加與來自世界各地5000名青少年聯歡活動

1. 學中文時間： 6月19日—7月9日在美國新意中文學校學習中文及中華文化課三周，免費提供簡體或繁體教學資料

費用：三周學費: $556.00/每人（特價），集體報名每10免1人學費

課程：

中文會話強化訓練: 最常用中文會話999句,中英對照版，朗讀中文, 默讀英文
介紹SAT II 中文和AP中文
孔子文化精典主題: 動手做，開口講，輕鬆有趣又有效。
我們講故事，你們聽故事，我們指導，你們表演
孔子的故事；孔子和儒學；“東方聖地”孔子故里—曲阜；讀論語、學做人；文化遺産：孔廟、孔府、孔林；孔子故鄉曲阜之最；孔子六藝城；中華之魂五嶽獨尊—泰山
課外活動: 獨幕話劇、書法、腰鼓，快板書、秧歌舞、黃梅戲、中國象棋、中國京劇

孔子簡介：中國歷史上第一位偉大的教育家、思想家，是儒家學派的創始人被歷代的讀書人稱爲“聖人”，在現在中西對話中，孔子是東方文化的象徵被列爲世界十大名人之一

2. 旅遊時間：7月9日—7月21日“中華文化—孔子故鄉行夏令營” (13天)
舊金山—上海—孔子故鄉（曲阜）—泰山—北京--舊金山)
7月21日從北京返回美國

學生年齡爲10－18歲，旅遊期間歡迎家長隨行，暑期機票非常緊張，我們將爲參加者提供特價團體票，數量有限，先到先得。

費用：報名費 $50.00/每人，團費 $798.00/每人（不包括簽證和國際機票費用），集體報名每10免1人團費（老師或家長）。

二、第十一屆「希望之星」兒童夏令營 (十周)

1. 時間：6月19日至8月25日可按周報名
在灣區招收5-18歲學生，8:00am-6:30pm，周一至周五

2. 課程:

首次推出灣區兒童中華文化經典誦讀計劃--兒童《三字經》導讀課程、中文、兒童《三字經》誦讀、中文拼音、繪畫、速算、中國腰鼓、中國民族舞蹈、游泳、象棋、音樂、朗誦、唐詩、球類、公園活動

美國本土研發的海外版中文教材《新意中文》

美國研發雙語幼兒中文識字教材

哈佛多元智慧彩色圖文故事教材

美國研發雙語兒童《三字經》教材

2006 Chinese Culture Summer Camp
—Trip to The Hometown of Confucius

Under the joint auspices of American Youth Culture and Education Exchange Center, Chinese American Youth Summer Camp: A Trip to China for Learning Chinese Language and Culture in last ten years was of a great success.

Through the tour, the visitors learned a great deal about China's culture, heritage, and language. They saw with their own eyes how rapidly China had developed over the years. Their experiences had taught them to recognize themselves through their ancestors and will forever leave a mark in their lives.

It is a 13 day tour. We will visit Shanghai –QuFu(The Hometown of Confucius) –Taishan Mountain–Beijing

The China Tour Date: July 9- July 21, total 13day

Landing only: $798.00 + $50 registration fee

The youth can register, who are healthy, of good character and scholarship, and ages is 10 and up in America. The parents, friends, and relatives are welcome to take part in it. Adults can also enjoy the same price with the youth.

Youth who is under the age of 10 needs accompanying by parents or relatives in China throughout the journey. The member limit in America is 50.

Fee and Charges

Seats booking regulations of 2006 Chinese Culture Summer Camp—Trip to The Hometown of Confucius

1. When you register, you should:

(1). Pay Landing fee: $798.00; (2) pay register fee $50.00; (3). Provide 2 photos with your name and phone number on the back of your photos, which should be the same as the photo in your passport; (4). Provide the copy of your passport;

2. Cancellation of your trip:

Register fee can not be refunded. And addtional charge applies to:

30 days before departure, $200.00 fee is charged.

30-15 days before departure, $400.00 fee is charged.

15 days before departure, no refund.

3. Total of the trip cost:

Landing only: $798.00 + $50 registration fee

If you do not come along with the arranged activities or you do not return with the group, $120.00 fee will be charged.

The above cost includes:

1). China airplanes, trains, traveling cars, and ships;

2). Boarding fee in the journey, two persons in one room, three-star hotel;

3). Fee for three meals a day in Chinese hotels and local restaurants;

4). Fee for all the above mentioned visiting places, all the entrance fee;

5). English and Chinese guide fee in the above mentioned cities in China;

6). Airports tax, tip for drivers and guides;

7). Traveling insurance in China, RMB300,000.00;

8).The above mentioned special culture exchange fee.

The above mentioned quote does not include:

1). Fee of international airfare

2). Fee for China entry visa: $45.00

3). Insurance fee above the limit

4). Personal expenditure, telephone cost, laundry fee and souvenir

5. Cautions:

1). Whether: Temperature characteristic in China: cool in the morning and evening in Spring and Fall; temperature in summer is almost the same nationally; it is very cold in the north in winter, while it is warmer in the south. In recent years, it is dry in Beijing with little snow, so it fits winter travelling. There is plenty of rain in summer and spring in China, so please take an umbrella with you.

2). Electricity voltage: Electricity voltage in China is 220V. However, there are voltage adapters in hotels, but you'd better take your voltage adapters. If you take a video recorder with you, you are especially advised to take battery with you.

3). Food and drink: Please take a drinking bottle with you for travelling. There is water supply in your room. There must be hygienic license issued by the government in meal and drink. Please do not buy foods from peddlers at the side of the street in case of damaging your health, so live on the meals in the restaurants and hotels in travel.

4). Money exchange: RenMinBi is the currency in china, which can be exchanged in banks and hotels with simple procedures. Travel check and credit card can be used, but certain amount of processing fee is charged. Please do not exchange in unlawful black market. Once it is caught, there is much trouble. There is fake money in black market, so be careful.

5). Custom: Everytime you enter China, you can take 400 pieces of cigarettes and two bottles of wine with you. There is no limit for dollar cash. Limit amount of RenMinBi can be taken into China.

6). Politics: Please do not use language against the government in travel. Otherwise, it will be regarded as unfriendly behavior.

7). Photos: There is no limit for taking photos in travel, so please take more films with you. You should declare photo-taking instruments at custom.

8). Shopping: First travel, then shopping during travel. When shopping, you should learn to distinguish their genuineness or fake especially for valuable goods. The trip organizers will take no responsibility for your shopping in china.

9). Time difference: 8th eastern section time is used in China, i.e. Beijing time.

10). Passport: Those who will take part in the trip must have at least 6-7 months lawful passport.
