Advanced Chinese Course

People all over the world, especially overseas Chinese students, are recognizing the significance of learning Chinese. The standards for these students are becoming higher and higher. New Concept Chinese School also recognizes these needs and we are finally able to reach that goal in Year 2003-2004 and have our advanced Chinese class opened. The advanced course is for experienced students whose skills are comparable with a Chinese level of the 6th grade or above. Many of these students are in high school. This course is advantageous to those who are attending high school because they may receive up to 10 credits per year for completing the advanced course.

The textbook the students will be using is the same as the textbook that junior high students in China are using. The course emphasizes the reading capability of Chinese literature such as prose, novels, modern literature, poems, Chinese opera, etc.
